The attention of some of the world’s most innovative minds will focus on Queensland in March 2017 for the southern hemisphere’s inaugural Myriad festival. Myriad is a three day technology and startup festival packed with local and international speakers, interactive technology experiences and mind blowing live entertainment. Myriad offers a world class program of events, workshops and activities aimed at generating global connections for businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors alike. The event will take place in Brisbane from 29-31 March 2017 at Brisbane Powerhouse.

The Queensland Government is providing financial assistance under the Regional Innovation Showcase. Up to 10 people from the Wide Bay Burnett can receive financial assistance to showcase their businesses at the festival, with funding for event tickets, travel subsidies and display space within the Regional Innovators Showcase.
As part of the requirements under the Regional Innovation Showcase, participants are required to match funding of up to $500 for travel and accommodation assistance, for those requiring flights to attend; or $250, for those requiring accommodation only. The Bundaberg Business Enterprise Centre, with the support of the Bundaberg Regional Council, has secured grant funding from the Queensland Government under the Queensland Startup Events and Activities Fund to help drive startup activity in our region.
A portion of this grant funding has been allocated to assist up to 5 startups/entrepreneurs from the Bundaberg Region to attend the Myriad Festival. By helping businesses from our region to attend, we can ensure that Bundaberg is properly represented, and also allow regional attendees to network with likeminded individuals from around Australia (and the world).
Eligible startups and entrepreneurs interested in receiving financial assistance to attend Myriad are encouraged to complete the following expression of interest (EOI). Financial assistance (up to $400 in total) includes the cost of event entry ($240) and reimbursement of travel/accommodation costs up to $160 per attendee (upon submitting receipts for eligible expenses). Startups/entrepreneurs applying for financial assistance must meet the following criteria:

Applicants who are unsuccessful under the Regional Innovation Showcase will be considered for funding assistance under startupBundaberg.
