CQUniversity Graduates Ahead of Game

Local University Ranked Highly by Guide

Bundaberg's local university, Rockhampton-based CQUniversity has outperformed many larger and more prestigious universities in terms of graduate outcomes.

The Brisbane Times has reported that CQUniversity sits in the top 20% of all Australian unis in regard to graduate salaries. The report has noted that other regional universities have also outperformed their city cousins.

Economic Development Growth Forum

Region's Economy Set to Deliver

Businesses will receive the latest information on priority economic initiatives at the annual Wide Bay Burnett Regional Economic Development Growth Forum to be held at the Brolga Theatre,  Maryborough, on 6 October.

The forum is jointly hosted by the Wide Bay Burnett Regional Organisation of Councils (WBBROC); Regional Development Australia (Wide Bay Burnett) and the Queensland Government Department of State Development.

Renewable Energy Expert Panel - Draft Report and Public Consultation

Earlier this year, the Queensland Government established the Renewable Energy Expert Panel to investigate credible pathways towards achieving a 50% renewable energy target in Queensland by 2030. The Panel is due to release their draft report in mid-October. Following the release of the draft report, the Panel is hosting a second round of regional forums and online discussions to share their findings and to seek feedback from the Queensland community and industry.
