Port State Development Area Announced!

Industrial precinct area turns Bundy into Economic go-to zone

A 6000 hectare industrial precinct has been created to turn the Port of Bundaberg into an economic growth hotspot for Wide Bay.

State Development Minister Dr Anthony Lynham today announced a new state development area around the Port of Bundaberg, including land near the port on the eastern side of the Burnett River as well as agricultural and rural land on the river’s western side.

Invest Bundaberg Investment Prospectus, Out Now!

In line with Council’s investment attraction agenda, the Business Bundaberg team have just released “Invest Bundaberg Region - Building a Better Future”, a summary Investment Prospectus.

This document – which can be found on the Invest Bundaberg ( website here - provides all the basic, background information a would-be investor needs when starting their investigations into our growing region.

According to a spokesperson for Business Bundaberg, “this Council-driven initiative allows those interested in the Bundaberg Region to download a great resource to assist them with familiarising themselves with the myriad opportunities that abound in the region currently.”

“Furthermore, the document contains Key Economic Data, information on Industries of Tomorrow and BRC Incentive for investment as well as information on enabling infrastructure and links to actual Industrial Property and Project offerings.” A great summary for those considering capitalising on the strength of the region.

Council’s Economic Development Unit urges local business and industry to download a copy of this colour pdf to keep on hand as a great reference for promoting the range of new business possibilities available in the region and to refer the Invest Bundaberg website to others and/or link to their own websites.
